Founded in 1933 by J. Ross Baird, Baird Seed Company started off by producing certified oat varieties for local farmers. Soybeans were added in the 1940s and wheat was added in the 1960s. In 2009, we became an Organic Certified Conditioner of oats, soybeans, and wheat.
We have been producing foundation-class soybeans and wheat for major industry seed providers since 1995.
Our partnership with the University of Illinois has made us the only company in the area that produces and markets foundation and retail-class non-GMO soybeans.
